Building Query Filters

Building query filters can be difficult if you are not familiar with the data that you are querying. A database might contain operator names that are abbreviated, which can complicate the process of entering the correct operator name. PetroForecast solves this problem by offering a drilldown window that shows all unique values in a data column alongside a record count of occurrences.

PetroForecast also implements cascading query filters, which means that you will only see database values that match the current constraints of your query. For example, if you select State Equals Texas in the query editor, and then you request a list of counties to filter, you will only see the counties that appear in Texas. Cascading query filters insure that you only pick filters that make sense in the context of your query.
